Warerfall Bílá Strž, Bohemian Forrest

This is a waterfall on Bílý potok (=White creek) in Bílá Strž (=White gorge) in Šumava (=Bohemian forrest) near border with Germany. The creek descends from ca. 1.000 to 700 metres altitude, the waterfall is in ca. 940 metres and it is the most dramatic part of the gorge. It is a cascade of 13 metres and 7 metres jump over a muscovite rock. Muscovite or mica or isinglass was used as a window slide alternative to glass in medieval Russia, hence the name coming from Moscow.
There is an old-growth forrest around the gorge with spruce (some are 250 years old), fir and sorbus. There is a nice scenic trail in the gorge.

Der Fernseher, ein Modell aus der Steinzeit, hatte keinen Empfang, durch bewegen des Anschlusskabels konnte allerdings mit viel Fingerspitzengefühl hin und wieder eine Sequenz empfangen werden. Der Kühlschrank, ebenfalls ein sehr altehrwürdiges Gerät, war für 5 Personen definitiv zu klein. Die Waschmaschine, die wir erst sehr spät entdeckt haben, war nicht...
