"This is okay if you need a last minute place to stay for a night. Room was clean but had a weird smell. Bed was uncomfortable for my man (side sleeper)but I slept well. 30 minutes from BelMawr and Point Pleasant Beaches. The owner was very helpful and attentive to our needs once we arrived. Parking for truckers and a grill area with seating. Great location with stores to grab things you may need. Walmart, Target, Dollar Tree and much more. We would stay again if we NEEDED to. "The room we stayed in was absolutely delightful and well appointed. However, none of the guestrooms at this hotel have an en suite bathroom. The website does make that clear, but it’s several layers down before you get to that information. It was my presumption for a bed-and-breakfast hotel at this price level that all rooms would be equipped with en suite bathrooms, but that is not the case. It doesn’t make it for a bad stay, you just have to be aware before you go in. The property itself and the rooms are relatively small compared to some others that I’ve stayed at in the area. They are, however, beautifully appointed, with acres of wood paneling and lovely furniture. Delightful China is on display throughout the property. The breakfast was absolutely superlative. One of the best prepared and most delicious meals I’ve had in a long time. However, you do have to walk a block to a Companion B&B in order to eat. The Mathis House bed-and-breakfast is also a delightful place to stay, and has many items for sale throughout their tea room and boutiques. I’d look forward to staying at either property again. It’s conveniently located in Toms River. But, if an en suite bathroom is a requirement, stay at the Mathis."

"The parts of the property I saw were clean but needed some updates and maintenance. The pool was great but side walls of room and doors need replacement rusty and old. In our room the fridge and microwave need to be replaced. Our room was clean but needs paint and some updates."

"1st room was a bust. Immaculate but horrific odor from a definite long term Tennant who smoked like a chimney in the room. I requested a new room which was perfect and clean with no horrific odor. Not sure why I didn't get this room the 1st time because 108 should not even be offered. A lot of long term residents live here but were not a problem. They hopefully in the future will repair the pool. Nice size. Shower was great... water hot! Beds and linens were comfy and AC in 2nd Deluxe room was nice and cold. I would stay here in a deluxe room again minus the smell. Close to everything."
