Excellent hotel and quite affordable for this Filipino American traveler from Manila and San Francisco Bay Area.
The best part was the Lemon Garden restaurant where we had breakfast everyday and also sampled their dinner. Both are buffets and offered amazing choices of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Japanese and European/Western cuisine. My favorite was the dessert section that offered fresh pastries and ube (yam), coconut and mango ice cream!
The dining staff were very professional and friendly. Since we were there for 7 nights, the dining staff got to know us by our first names. Chef Scott has done an excellent job with the food and staff. Major thumbs up to Chef Scott, his chefs and to Daniel (hotel GM) and the Shangri-La hote staff!
Our room was beautiful, comfortable, very clean and well kept by the housekeeping staff. It is an upscale hotel to which I would gladly return and stay at.
Best paet was the Petronas Towers were a short 15 minute walk away, as are some restaurants.
