"We booked this hotel for our last night in Sri Lanka and it was by far the most rundown hotel we have stayed in.
We booked the most expensive ($260 per night) room that they offered “ beach villa”.
The room was in poor condition and looked nothing like a villa.
Tv didn’t work and bed sheets were old and room was not clean.
Ac blows directly on the bed so you can choose to either be freezing or be super hot.
The hotel is on the beach but far from easy access to anything near by.

"The pool is fantastic and the staff are extremely warm and welcoming. The gardens are pretty and our room was spacious, clean and the air conditioning, bed and shower were all good. The entertainment amenities (bikes, golf, tennis, games room etc) are very dated and could use a refresh - but we were mainly there for the pool and to break up the journey to Wilpattu after flying into Colombo, so it was fine for us and what we needed. There is nothing around the resort so best to book the...

"I recently stayed at Wattura Resort and Spa, and let me tell you, it was beyond awesome! Right from the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like family, making us feel so welcome.
The service at Wattura Resort and Spa is out of this world. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and more. They helped us with everything, from getting around to giving us awesome suggestions for family activities. They really cared about making our stay unforgettable.

"Excellent stop in the wider Colombo metropolitan area. Small boutique hotel where food is served right outside the room. We had a great time during two brief stays."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waterland. It is convenient for the airport but in a quiet spot, situated by the river. It is beautiful. We had a great private villa with a good size pool. The staff and service were excellent. In particular Raganan was brilliant and looked after us very well. Incredibly good value for money and a short Tuk Tuk ride into Negombo town. "

"I tried to check in on the day at Ayowa Grand Hotel and the Hotel management refuse to let us check in saying they did not received money I paid on line! I have the proof from commercial bank that I paid 91.98 USD for the 2 rooms I booked but the hotel management refuse demanding I pay again and check in. Ayowa hotel management says that they have not registered with Hotels .com and they have similar cases before where hotel.com charging the customer but not paying the hotel. It looks both of...

"This was the first part of our stay in Sri Lanka and our host made us feel very welcome-waiting outside for us on our arrival and giving us a choice of rooms in either the original hotel or the new one up the road.
The rooms were clean and spacious and the swimming pool was very clean and cleaned every day.
I explained that I was celiac and our host made sure that i had a suitable and delicious alternative breakfast. Alongside the fresh fruit and omelette inhad a different sidedish each day-my...

"Lovely staff could not do more. Check parties before arrival- I could not sleep past midnight one evening due to party. Room does not include breakfast which seems a little mean as it can be bought for 3-4 dollars at restaurant.
Recommended."

"A bit of an adventure getting to the hotel as it is located at the top of a very steep drive way that meanders though a coconut and pepper plantation. Once there however, the views are great and the ambiance tranquil. The balcony overlooks tree tops, which for anyone seeking a quiet hideaway, this place is perfect."
