"The Stones is a really nice, clean hotel with plenty to offer. Breakfast has a great variety, and the pool is huge, warm (perfect if you’re not a fan of cold pools), and nicely shaded in the afternoon. Because the resort is so spacious, it never feels crowded and you can usually find a sun lounge without any issue. The pool bar also has a good selection. It’s quite popular with younger families, it was school holidays so I guess it's expected. But the layout means it still feels relaxed and not overly busy.
There are plenty of beach bars directly across the road, which makes it easy to head out in the evening for sunset drinks.
Cons: Food and drinks within the hotel are on the expensive side. The front section of the property also feels a bit run-down and unused, with several closed and empty areas — although this seems fairly common in parts of Legian. The location isn’t particularly central, so getting anywhere requires a decent walk or a taxi. For families, especially, return trips can get pricey due to traffic and one-way streets. Bikes are definitely the easiest way to get around."
