"Really lovely 3 night stay at this apart hotel.
Pool was great, always got a sunbed. It’s part residential. You can’t access the pool until 10am so no one sneaking down at 7am to bag a sunbed!
Reception really helpful. It’s basic but clean and friendly. In a great quiet spot just 10 mins from the beach and one street away from restaurants, bars and shops."
PortAventura Hotel Gold River - Includes unlimited access to PortAventura Park & 1 day access to Ferrari Land
8/10 Good
"We had a fantastic 3-night stay at PortAventura Hotel Gold River as a family of four, with our two children aged 10 and 12.
The hotel was excellent and the Wild West theme made the whole experience feel like part of the adventure. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for all four of us, and the location within the resort was brilliant.
The biggest bonus was the unlimited access to PortAventura Park, which made it so easy to come and go without having to worry about tickets. Having a full day included at Ferrari Land was also a real highlight, and the kids absolutely loved it.
There was plenty to keep everyone entertained, with fantastic rides, shows and attractions for both children and adults. We particularly enjoyed being able to walk straight from the hotel into the park and make the most of our time there.
Overall, it was a brilliant family break. The combination of a great hotel, excellent park access and Ferrari Land made it really good value and took away much of the hassle of organising everything separately.
We would definitely stay at Hotel Gold River again and would highly recommend it to families looking for a fun-filled PortAventura getaway."
"This was a lovely hotel, amazing grounds to walk around with many lovely features. Great size family room with ample car parking. The above ground car park was free with the underground locked car park paid. The pool was lovely although there were many “petting”couples so I don’t know if it’s where people go for a romantic getaway. The restaurant was nice, but the staff could have been a bit friendlier. Tables need to be booked by 8pm at reception. Robes and flip flops in the rooms were a nice touch as made it easy to wander to the pool and back. Overall a great place to stay. The dog was given his own little welcome pack on arrival!"
"Hemos estado a gusto.Un problemas comedores saturados, grandes colas para poder comer.La animación de la noche bastante mejorable.Pero por lo demás muy a gusto

"Definitely get the sea view room. Location is everything with this place. We went for the eclipse and as an older couple we enjoyed a relaxing day at the pool. It was not the kind of place we normally go. It is perfect for families and it was nice to see people having fun without screens. The staff was helpful but not intrusive. Appreciated that they were on top of keeping the floors dry with everyone dripping water. The place is a bit dated but it had a charm to it. The pool is the main feature and it was kind of nice that they close it early so you can enjoy the peaceful sea views in the evening. Elevators were a complaint for some but we were on the 3rd floor and didnt mind walking down. The other issue is the parking but we totally lucked out getting there early to get a spot near the hotel. We just kept up on paying the meter every 4 hours until the evening when parking was free."

"Straightforward check in
Straight to room on the 3rd floor
Choice of 2 lifts
Room clean and tidy
2 large beds
Balcony overlooking pool
Lovely bathroom
Fridge
Safe(didn’t use)
Didn’t use hotels breakfast and bar as was out majority of days we visited
Our last night(Saturday) we visited the rooftop bar and was extremely busy but with a good atmosphere
We would deffo recommend hotel for a short stay
Is a good 5-10 minute walk into town however we didn’t mind that"
"Fabulous hotel nearer to the old town .
Good points …
Air conditioning in the room
Cleanliness standards 10/10
Rooftop swimming pool
Points to be aware of …
Wi-Fi abit hit and miss
The spa prices are extortionate! 55 euros for 60 mins ! If they been longer or cheaper I would have tried it .
The hot breakfast selection was not good."
"It would have been perfect if staff at the reception were trying harder to look friendly and helpful. Any questions about transport to the airport, theme park, attractions in the area..etc - the answer was " we don't provide this information". Also accepting deposit only in cash with cashmachine in hotel charging you a huge rate for withdrawing cash looks like more like scam rather than 4* hotel service.
Everything else was perfect ."
