The staff were nice but the facility is too outdated. Equipments are too old, mostly can’t work properly.

We stayed for two nights, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. It was a bit cramped but clean. Walking distance to the boardwalk. Shared front porch with the other vacationers. Beds were old but it was what we expected for the Lake District. There is access to a small private beach at the end of the street.

edioe but not the worst

The people that ran it and cleaned it were really nice people. I however didn’t use the closet because it was deep to the left when the door opened and it had cobwebs in it. The daybed/trundle in the living room was duck taped on the left corner, and the bed was very uncomfortable and lumpy. The place was clean and it was very clear that they are in the process of making improvements in the bedroom area with the primer visible. The kitchen/ living room area is beautiful. The bathroom is clean. I would go back provided the improvements were finished as the location can’t be better. I wouldn’t go back before the improvements were finished. Oh and it advertises shared gas grills that don’t exist.

Comfortable apts, friendly staff, great location!

This was our 4th stay at Lakeside and it definitely won't be our last! We absolutely love it there! The guy at check-in is always super nice and friendly, and he even offered us coupons to use at local restaurants during our stay. The apartments are always clean and provide everything we need for a comfortable week away at the beach. The location is absolutely perfect with the beach, boardwalk and so many other fun things to do, all within walking distance. We always have so much fun during our annual week-long stay at Weirs Beach, and Lakeside Get-away will always be our favorite place to stay! Already looking forward to next year's stay!

Shabby Chic

Hotels.com did not inform me that Check-in takes place at a different hotel!!! I was in the area for a concert and running late, so I was very unhappy with this and the fact that I had to park down the block and on the street. There is no parking lot and I couldn't see my vehicle from the motel. I was impressed with the size of the apartment for the price I paid. It really does have 2 bedrooms, each with a full closet and dresser. A full kitchen, including sink, stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. It was extremely close to Weirs Beach boardwalk and walking distance to many fun attractions. Of course no stay can be perfect and there were a few thing left to be desired. The mattresses were terrible and I was up several times throughout the night with back pain. Also, the ceiling in the living room looked like it was ready to fall down. All that said and done, it was a good rental for the price. The closeness of all the tourist attractions when still feeling private in your apartment make up for the negatives. In the end, I would rent a unit at Lakeside Get A Way again.

The Good- It is about 100 yards from the lake which is at the bottom of the road. It is very close to the Weirs beach amusement/entertainment area, the ferry boat and the beach. The Bad- Our room (#1) is pretty run down. The couch in the living room should be replaced, if not the chair. The window air conditioners in the bedrooms are noisy/clacking. Old toilet seat should be replaced

Very old, property is for sale. Though, Brandon was accommodating, the apartment was not cleaned even though we’re checked in. We just got a refund and found a better place.

The carpet was so dirty to let kids stand or play. Toilet was clogged after one person used it. It gave us really hard time.

This was a wonderful place for my family and I to stay for a week up at the lake. The staff was nice and friendly, and the location was excellent. There is so much to do all within walking distance. And the apartment was well stocked. Plenty of dishes, utensils, cookware, towels, extra bedding, and everything we needed to help make our stay comfortable. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

While the proximity to the lake and boardwalk was perfect, the cleanliness of the room when we walked in was not acceptable. There was a 2 hour longer wait for us to check in from what we were told due to the cleaning crew not having prepared it yet. When we arrived, we found trash still out on the back deck, loose hair was found in the shower, the towels and in the beds. The chair cushions had a lot of crumbs which tells me it hasn’t be vacuumed in some time. The shower head appeared to have grime or mold. I just wanted to bring this to attention to make it better for future guests. Also I didn’t want to get blamed for leaving it in a manner that it already was when I got there.

Not worth the cost!

There is no staff onsite, checkin is about two miles away. Very noisy! Just go elsewhere for a good overnight stay. Not a family friendly environment.

Avoid!! What a dump

We never even stayed. Looked at it to check in and would not stay there. It was nothing like the pictures online. It was dirty and scuzzy. Just plain awful. I am out over $300!! Had to book another room somewhere else. Will never book through Expedia again unless I get a refund for this dump!

Check for Bugs and this place should be condemned!

The only way people will stay there if people have not seen the place, even from the outside. The place was disgusting and my wife spent the first 30 min checking for bugs in the beds and couches. The building is terribly uneven (every floor), walking through the room was tricky do to the floor moving. If you are above 5 ft 11in, don't stay here, ceilings are really short.

DISAPPOINTED WITH ACCOMODATIONS

HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE BED; NOT LEVEL, HEAD LOWER THAN FEET, HAD TO SLEEP BACKWARDS IN THE BED. BE.DDING AND TOWELS WERE OLD AND, AND NOT ACCEPTABLE. OUTSIDE OF BUILDING WAS VERY OLD AND NOT KEPT UP AT ALL; MAINTENANCE LACKING. I DO A LOT OF TRAVELING UP AND DOWN THE COAST AND THERE ARE MANY OLD PLACES, BUT THEY ARE KEPT UP AND THE BEDDING AND TOWELS ARE AT AN ACCEPTABLE LEVEL; THESE WERE NOT, AND THIS PLACE WAS NOT!!!
