"Very friendly and helpful staff. nice big room, hot shower and power for charging and hair drier (that is not available in every lodge...) Good food. One pool to jump around and play. Saw an Elephant at lunch time from the terrace. Good value for the prize."

"I loved the hotel and some of the best and most attentive service anywhere I've ever stayed. The signposting to the camp needs drastic improvement (my taxi got lost which I understood) and the road to get there is dreadful. The accommodation is fabulous and I slept so well. The hotel has an Indian owner and most of the guests were Indian, either from India or local. The way they spoke to and disrespectfully treated the staff was shocking and entirely unacceptable. "The staff was literally outstanding!! The tent was gorgeous. Our major complaint was the food choice was very limited and not always geared to an 'American' consumer. We had a couple great meals and the rest were hard to enjoy since we don't eat seafood."

"Elephant Bedroom is a luxury tented camp that provides great individual service for its guests. We had a wonderful guide on our game drives who was sensitive to our wishes as photographers. The only drawback is that electricity is only available in the camp at certain times of the day which means that battery charging has to be carefully planned and it is important to bring spares if you are a heavy user."

"Our 3 days at Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp was the best- the dining, the game drives, the service, the beauty of the area. The staff went above and beyond in their efforts to make our stay memorable. I was here 6 years ago, and have wonderful memories of our stay at that time. The repeat visit was just as good, even better. I would highly recommend.
