Beach views depend on cabin location. Restaurant is very good but doesn’t accept cash, so be prepared for that. Great dog friendly place although it’s a bit of a walk to the dog beach, (or a couple minute drive through the parking area). Overall it’s a favorite place for traveling with dogs.

Bare bones cabin except good tv. Bed comfy but small. NO HEAT in bathroom (wall heater didn’t work, I tried to reset breaker but no good; then they REMOVED the heater while we were out & didn’t even tell us) with night temps below freezing; main cabin thermostat broken. Couldn’t shower, needed extra blankets just to get thru the night. We checked out a day early due to that. REFUSED ANY DISCOUNT!!! Owned by Aramark. Now disputing w cred card co. Technically could see the lake but cabin 1/10 mile from shore. People were nice but powerless to help since managed offsite. A shame cuz it’s a very nice setting and location. Oh and the restaurant was below meh; TG dinner had zero dressing or cranberry sauce - sliced turkey breast mashed potatoes & green beans (dessert blueberry cheesecake?!?) is a TG meal for $39??? Breakfast meh.

The cabin they gave us #2, was the furthest from the Lake and the closest to highway 50 so we could hear a lot of highway noise. The cabin was small but clean and adequate. Wi-Fi was good. Suggest looking at the cabin layout map before booking and choose one closer to the lake.

Double charged from hotels.com and at check in

We prepaid through Hotels.com when we checked the front desk said we had to pay. We showed our transaction that it was prepaid they told us they have to charge and when we check out we get a refund. Was told this happens all the time with people who pay through third party. We checked out the next day and they did not refund. We asked to speak to manager and spoke to Jordan Wiley. She said no refunds because they don’t collect from third party so we pay them only. We show two transactions on our statement with hotels.com and with Zypher cove. Manager said she can’t do anything and they don’t accept third party payments. She says this never happens but two other staff employees told me this is common and I will get my refund. The manager said no it’s not common and they only take payment in person. So they will not refund and we have to figure this out with Hotels.com

First the positive; steps to the beach, cute cabins that are very comfortable. On the down side; there were many small repair issues in the cabin that made it feel shabby. Word to the wise; the kitchen is under equipped. There weren’t any pans for the oven, and very few essentials like salt or pepper. The water temperature is set dangerously high, so be careful not to get scalded. The WiFi is very spotty, and the TV service was out during our stay. If that is important to you, call ahead to check. This would be a great hideaway if some basics were attended to.
