Really nice place

I’ve stayed at the Dolmen a couple of times now, staff are really friendly, food in the restaurant is fantastic. Rooms are clean and tidy and well equipped. The only thing that lets it down ever so slightly in my opinion is that the bathrooms are starting to look a little tired but still perfectly functionable. All in all, I like staying here and will book a room here again.

We had an amazing time,the surroundings are just incredible,so beautiful and peaceful.My family really enjoyed the barn and we played board games,lit a fire which was fabulous.The option to BBQ also.We had such fun.Our huts were just gorgeous,everything was spotlessly clean,the bed was so comfortable and the bedding was to a very high standard.We took a stroll through the meadow and had a turn in the paddle boat on the the water on the grounds,so much fun.The hosts really take great care of this...

Stayed here 4 nights when visiting family. Had my son who is two years old and it had the facilities next door at the dome to keep him entertained. Room was big, clean and beds were comfy. We didn't use the pool as your required to wear a swimming hat which is apparently normal there. We had breakfast included and there was a lot of choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service was fast. Couldn't fault a thing.

The oldest hotel. was really well kept but a little dated in the main hotel bedrooms. very clean and excellent staff. good choice of breakfast and a decent check out time of 11.30.

We checked in and discovered our room didn’t have a bath, we were swapped to a room with one immediately, not a problem to the staff. The room was clean, spacious and the bathroom was also spotless. Bath and shower were separate, water pressure was fab and hot water always available no matter what time of day you were using it. Mini fridge, kettle, coffee machine with pods, hair dryer, iron and ironing board all provided. Breakfast selection was plentiful and hot food was replenished regularly....

I have been working away for over 25 years and i can honestly say this is the best place i have ever stopped, its amazing,breakfast is amazing,rooms are amazing, host is amazing and the lastly views are amazing

Hotel was in a perfect location. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was worth the money with plenty of choice. Rooms were very clean and bed was very comfortable. The only negative was the pillows were not so comfortable and there was no air conditioning in the room although there was a desk fan provided. Just glad we didn't stay in the heat wave. If you are visiting Kilkenny I would recommend this hotel.

Rooms were clean and Very spacious. Staff friendly and could not do enough for you. Fantastic venue for a wedding and was the best wedding food we have ever had. Plenty of parking.

Stunning, clean smelling room that was immaculately prepared. The bed was very comfortable. Shower had plenty of hot water and power. Breakfast was delicious.

check in was excellent, very friendly staff offered me a mince pie and some hot chocolate and a room upgrade as i hadbeen at the hotel 30 years previously. Hotel has changed, been upgraded and my room was on a par with any of the 5 star hotels i have stayed at in Asia. Lovely ambiance in the hotel, bed was v v comfy. excellent coffee at breakfast. Will return in summer.

Can not fault this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. For e.g. our coffee maker did not work one call to reception and within 5 minutes someone was there to sort it out. The food in the restraunt was exceptional and the waiting staff were knowledgble about the dishes. Service fantastic.
