Alaia Lodge

"A big thank you to everyone at Alaia Lodge for such a warm welcome. We came here on a father/son golf trip we had wanted to do for many years and we chose to stay at Alaia because of its convenient walking distance to the golf course, and it proved to be a wonderful choice. We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful town, surrounded by lovely scenery. We only wish we had more time to explore the area and take in more of its beauty! Everyone at Alaia was so friendly and welcoming and this was evidenced as we arrived for our check-in. A special thank to who welcomed us there with the lovely upgraded room with the balcony/mountain view. It was a very thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more special. The rooms and breakfast were both great too. We’re already missing it there and hope to return one day to explore so much more of the area. Thank you all for making our stay so memorable!"

"Very handy hotel, close to town. Room for 3 adults was great. Check in etc was all fine and spacious and lovely balcony. Only negative was having to pay 15 chf to park at the hotel, when it was free in town on a sat or 1 chf.in a parking lot."

"Basic but comfortable. Parking across the street. Restaurant downstairs. No aircon and fan was small and didn't work great so room was a bit hot. Other than that was a good stay."

"Localisation centrale et facile d’accès. Bien que le stationnement soit payant, il est vaste et directement sous l’hôtel. Petit déjeuner très élaboré et savoureux. Le seul petit bémol, la chambre est un peu exigüe et il n’y a pas de support pour les valises."

"The staff were really helpful, I was going to arrive late and no one would be at reception but they provided full info on where my room key would be and how to access it. During my stay they couldn't have been more helpful everytime I asked for info. Rooms cleaned everyday and mini toblerones on your bed, yum yum. I saw maintenance ongoing, which is positive, at least they didn't ignore faults in the hotel and keep going while trying to maximise profit at customers expense like many hotel chains do. Great views from my room and good breakfasts everyday. Plenty places to chose for lunch and dinner later in the day if needed."

"Beautiful property. New. Clean. Great views. Excellent breakfast. Tough to get to on windy mountain roads. No food options on Sunday - little market closed, no restaurant, no grocery. If you're traveling with kids, pool only open to kids from 10am to 2pm."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful, elegant, and offers everything you would expect from a luxury hotel. What truly makes it exceptional, however, is the staff. Every member of the team showed genuine dedication to ensuring guests have the best possible experience. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were outstanding across every part of the hotel. Breakfast was another highlight—beautifully presented, with an excellent variety of high-quality options that should satisfy almost every guest. My only comments concern the room. The view from the premium lake-view room felt more limited than I expected, especially considering the significant price difference. In addition, the air conditioning was not operating during my stay. I understand that the local climate is generally cool, but I still found the room uncomfortably warm until around midnight, and unfortunately the air conditioning did not help at all. Overall, this is an excellent hotel with remarkable service, and I would gladly return. With improvements to the room climate control and clearer expectations regarding the views, the experience would be close to perfect."
