I would have given it five stars - generally stuff was great, and the facilities excellent - but there are two jerks who worked the Kissaten bar on Sunday December 28th, 2025 at around 11:00 p.m. Both of these guys need a lesson in customer service. They're unfriendly, arrogant, self absorbed, rude young guys. Things felt wrong the moment we walked in. Two guys behind the bar. One was mixing a drink - didn't even look up to say, "Hi." The other was certainly not welcoming or friendly - they were more interested in joking around with each other than in attending to the customers. There were only five other people in the bar. The vibe was so uncomfortable that we stayed a few minutes then got up and left.
Flip side, front desk staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive - thanks to David, Cadlotta, Rodrigo and
Tiago.
Overall I'd highly recommend this hotel. It's really central, well kept and has front desk staff 24/7. Just don't bother to go to the Kissaten fiasco.
