"Room looks and smells clean. Great view of the ocean and can be on the beach in minuets. Parking can be less than pleasant because spaces are not assigned so if all spaces on the hotel side are occupied you need to park across the street. Very quiet chill retirement community vibe."

"First time we stayed here and loved it. It is a gem hidden only 1 mile from the Marsh Walk. It was clean, quiet, and we loved the pool. It was so nice to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach, yet we were only minutes from all of the MB activities, restaurants, and beaches. We look forward to staying here again."

"Beautiful hotel in a nice area. Rooms were clean and comfortable especially the bed. Staff was welcoming and attentive. Outside bar was nice on the river. Restaurant was good but pricey. Will certainly come back and highly recommend the George."

"It’s a nice place with a very convenient location for walking to shops and the waterfront"

"We didn’t pay for an oceanfront view, so I knew we’d have a street view but I expected to still have a personal balcony. We got to the room and opened the balcony door to find the roof. When talking to other guests on our floor, we learned that everyone on the 2nd floor without an ocean view had access to the roof. Needless to say, we kept the balcony door locked because it seemed like a potential security issue. The staff was polite and helpful. At first one of our room keys wasn’t working...

"To get rid of the poison oak and poison ivy around the place"

"The room was very clean and had a wonderful view of the ocean. The outside door was broken and had to push/pull to get it locked everytime we went out. Told the woman at the lobby about it and she knew it was broken so hopefully the visitors will not have that problem. We had a terrible storm and the next day, the ceiling was leaking a bit but it had prior patching also. Other than that, it was good overall. There is a convenient store there also which makes it nice too"

"This hotel was dirty floors was dirty mirrors tub only thing that was fixed was the beds also there was a roach crawling on the bed"

"Nice relaxing weekend with 5 star stay at Winyah Bay Club. Fantastic accommodations as advertised. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others. "
