the room was really clean although the reception could have done with a dust especially under the tables as you enter. the staff on our first day were great but the key card did not work 4 times and they did state if it didnt work on the 5th they would have changed our room but really as an after thought this should been done after the second time. (we were offered a complimentary coffee while we waited for them sort it on the firsr occasion). I was always taught that you treat your last customer as well as your first customer so on our second day i felt sorry for the last customer of the receptionist on that day - rude. the breakfast was great and all staff attentive. the bar staff were also attentive.

We had a amazing stay at the Imperial Hotel. Very close to the beach, pier and town centre. The only thing I wish could be better is room service.

Very nice hotel, perfectly positioned on the sea front, lovely decor and interior. All staff very helpful and approachable Claire on Reception really stood out for her helpfulness and Abbie one of the breakfast waitresses who smiled and helped whenever approached even under pressure. lovely, clean and spacious room with balcony on floor 5 , Breakfast and service was exceptional good range of choice, constantly replenished. Additional items were available to be freshky cooked for a small cost such as kippers,salmon and omelettes to name a few. really appreciated the lovely touch of easter eggs on the tables at breakfast and eggs for kids for Easter Sunday.

Our room had a side view of the promenade/beach which we knew before we stayed, next time we will book earlier to obtain a room with a sea view, the room was spotless-thank you to the lady who looked after it. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We had no cpmplaints whatsoever.

The staff were all very pleasant and courteous. The dining room staff were all very well trained and extremely helpful. A special Thankyou to waitress’ Reanne and Suzanne who were helpful and caring even though they were very busy.

Staff were really good, friendly, attentive. The room was ok, but very hot with no obvious means to turn the heat down. At 02:30 we had to open the window wide to try and cool the room, leaving us with the hum of machines outside keeping us awake. The radiators were not actually hot except the towel rail, so it seemed the hotel itself was the issue, being perfect at the bottom of the stairs and getting hotter as we walked up. Breakfast was good when available but 3 warming trays failed meaning the chef was having to make things to order and other things were very delayed coming out. Staff did what they could and were apologetic. The hotel feels in need of some renovation, while not being terrible. I think we'll probably look at a guest house next time, or maybe The Empire.

Room spotless,Very nice dinner and excellent breakfast all topped off with amazing staff in reception and the morning and evening teams in the restaurant.Nothing to fault .Very enjoyable one night stay for theatre trip.
Introduced ourselves to a couple of locals having breakfast.

Very comfortable room but would have been better with privacy curtains. Hotel itself wasn’t what we’d hoped for, especially after staying at the other 4* property The St George previously. The breakfast offering for a 4* property was quite poor and not well presented. The Christmas decorations were quite underwhelming.

The room was amazing with the fabulous view of the sea, great to hear the crashing waves in a morning! What we like about the "Imperial" is the warm welcome we always get, the friendliness & helpfulness of the staff is the best. What we like is that some members of staff have been there for a long time & nothing is too much trouble for them! Breakfast here is so good!
