"The building is very charming and the grounds are lovely. The staff is very welcoming and helpful and the food was good. That being said, the pictures and description are a little misleading. The hotel is not on the shore of Lake Llanquehue. It has a large pond that it borders (as shown in the picture for the hotel). Although the pond was nice and included a rowboat which guests can use at anytime, there were hundreds of very noisy birds, detracting from what could be a very tranquil experience....

"First time here in Puerto Montt and I was anxious about where to stay. Once I saw there was a Courtyard by Marriott, I was relieved. It’s a nice property and my room overlooks the town with a view of the Pacific Ocean. It is clean and to be honest one of the nicest Courtyards I have visited. After a rather stressful series of business meetings in Santiago, this has been perfect."

The bathroom light fixture has multiple dead flies inside. The shower has an used soap from previous people. The ad with hot top was a small container of muddy water. "Immediately next to the bus station ...could not get any closer...literally 30 steps to my bus in the morning...perfect for early buses...right at the waterfront....walked to the cinema in a very nice mall... Room was fine, bed was acceptable, all very clean...carpeting in hallways very worn and tired but in room was fine. Food in restaurant very basic. Value was acceptable. I slept well!"
