Room was basic with no extras but it was all we needed. Comfortable bed and pillows, nice shower. Full bar had signature drinks that were amazing. Guacamole was fresh and the homemade chips the best we ever had. Vegetarian dinner of strudel was delicious and unique. Fish meal was fresh and tasty. Dessert of fruit cobbler was generous and not too sweet and with blueberry ice cream!! Staff were friendly and efficient. The food was not cheap but the quality and great service were totally worth it to us!

Wonderful stay with great service, food, and views! I arrived late (~8 PM), but the manager immediately came to assist with check-in and arrangements. I stayed in Standard Queen Room 17 for four nights—the room was lovely, and the attached bathroom was spacious and spotless. Portable heaters and fans were provided right away whenever requested. The food was delicious (there was quite a bit to choose from)—highly recommend the crispy chicken tenders and pasta! The dining/drawing area overlooks the lake beautifully. The bar downstairs was cozy and well-stocked, perfect for unwinding in the evening after a day of hiking. Complimentary water, coffee, and tea were available 24/7, and a shared microwave was provided for guests. The location is excellent—only about 10 minutes from Castle Rock Hill Trail (a moderate 2-mile hike with ~871 ft elevation gain) and close to the Adirondack Experience Museum. It’s around 1.5 hours to the High Peaks (Lake Placid, ADK Loj, Saranac Lake), but if you start early (~8 AM), you’ll have plenty of time to summit a peak and still explore Placid or Saranac afterward. Overall, the staff were professional, friendly, and attentive. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

I would not go back to this Lodge again. The heat was not regulated, I became unbareable hot during the night, my food was not hot, my dinner came cold after we had to wait for 45 minutes for the waitress to bring it to us, after we had asked for it twice. I did not feel that it was clean.

It was like staying in an old fashioned Adirondack great camp. We love it here every year. The people are friendly and the drinks and food at the bar are amazing.

Our room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. I wish there was coffee in the bedroom. They did have it setup downstairs though. Rooms were upstairs, and no elevator.. so pack a little lighter. The view of the lake was beautiful

We stayed here for 4 nights and found it to be a great place to stay! Very comfortable, excellent food and delicious wine. Pretty view of Long Lake and very convenient to the Blue Mountaon Lake museum. I would definitely stay here again.

This getaway was exactly what we were looking for. A cozy cabin on the lake. The Loons singing their welcome as we arrived. Exceptional customer service from the brothers!! An excellent restaurant on the premises and quick easy access to ADK, diners, water activities- or not. We loved it so much we asked about a pet policy and are pleased to plan another stay in the cabins with our dog very soon.

Old,rustic it had history 100 year old hotel. Not for handicap people. No elevator to second floor. It's not ADA compliant. Front steps were difficult. Had dining room and pub. Diner hours. No fridge in room. Bathroom was nice with shower.

The attached restaurant was excellent and clearly a favorite of people. Not many people staying in the hotel part so breakfast did not seem available. Shower is tight and the room is small but the bed was wonderful. The decor was lots of Adirondack features.

Disappointed that there was no A/C or elevator. Once we learned the building was 100 years old, we understood. The lounge area was comfy and porch views were pretty. A little on the pricey side for what we are used to. But the nostalgia was so quaint.
