"The cabin was an excellent calming retreat listening to only the sounds of the birds and nature. The steps up to the cabins can be a bit steep (up to 30cm/ 12 inches) but assuming you are there to hike Park Tayrona it's a good warm up for the trails in the park. Breakfast and dinners were excellent and Kevin our front desk person, arranged an early breakfast so we could get to the hikes at break of dawn. "We had a lovely, short stay at Finca Barlovento. The property is beautiful, the atmosphere is restful and the overall feeling is very private and low-key, with a high level of service. The staff was very conscientious and accommodating. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Food offerings are good, though somewhat limited, but we were only there for a couple of days so this was not really an issue. We used the pool and spa services - the pools are small but refreshing and massage was wonderful! I recommend this location to people who want to be in a natural setting. Since it is adjacent to Tayrona National Park, it's an extremely comfortable place to land after longer beach hikes in the park."

"Barlovento is a gem near Tayrona. One almost doesn’t need to leave the property to get the real jungle beach experience. However, it is a perfect home base for your adventure. The accommodations are very comfortable and quiet. Just watch out for the “no see ums” insects that get through the mosquito nets in the cabana, but this is true everywhere. Also the ocean is very loud at the cabana but earplugs make it more of a soothing background noise. Overall one of my favorite places to visit and relax."

"I am so glad I chose this hotel; it was the perfect home base for my trip. I spent half my time exploring the north and the other half in the city center, and this location made navigating both areas seamless. The front desk team was incredible, taking all the stress out of my logistics by coordinating my transportation perfectly. Beyond the convenience, the hotel itself is beautiful. My room was spacious and very comfortable, and the food at the on-site restaurant—both for breakfast and dinner—was fantastic. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!"

"Cabanas all have beautiful ocean views. Located on two beaches, one nice for swimming and the other for long walks. Meals were good. Some staff had limited English skills and our Spanish is elementary leading to a mixup in a dinner order. The ecohabs are poorly lit so nighttime reading was a stretch. Beautiful park. This is probably the nicest place to stay in the park."
