"We had an awesome stay at Shantara Port Douglas! The quiet, adults-only ambience made it the perfect place to relax, recharge, and unwind. The pools were fantastic—beautifully maintained and ideal for spending lazy afternoons.
The location is spot on, with everything within easy walking distance, making it easy to explore Port Douglas without needing the car. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

"This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. We arrived, anticipating an attractive and heated pool. We discovered a very dirty, shabby out of date pool that was cold. After much communication with Expedia, the owners of the hotel turned up the temperature on the pool.
