"Parking is tricky, but we found a free parking lot close by. Check-in was easy and Livia was a gem full of helpful tips and resources. Check out - the front desk guy wasn’t very helpful. We paid the city tax in cash and wanted our change in coins - just a few coins to use in town- very much needed in Italy and he wasn’t willing to provide coins or even break a ten. He offered no assistance. Overall the room, spa and property is nice. No restaurant during off season, but the breakfast provided...

"Our experience was consistent with previous reviews. Location is ideal. Easy entrance into main attraction area and with rooms off an interior courtyard property is super quiet at night. Rooftop terrace is ideal. Relaxing, great cocktails and a perfect way to end a day sightseeing in the crowds of Florence. We didn't realize the restaurant is not open for dinner. Breakfast was crowded, food ok. Overall a nice property."

"Beautiful well maintained location! Amazing views! The breakfast buffet was great and so large! Particularly loved the orange juice and cappuccino machines. The restaurant on site has the same menu for lunch and dinner so pro tip eat lunch at the bar with a different menu if you aren’t going out. The shuttle only goes to San Gimignano and runs at 10, 11:15, 1:30 and 5:15. We wish there was a 3PM option but taking public transport is cheap and easy. This is an amazing place to stay to visit...

"The building doesn’t look like it has had any money spent on it since the 1980’s.Very shabby hotel, shame on the owners, it could be fab. Had holes in sheets and towels. No duvet it’s a 1950’s style blanket between sheets. Not hygienic these days. Dirt and dust everywhere. Cushions with stains on. One pillow each. Dining chairs in the breakfast room all broken. "This was a wonderful hotel! The location was perfect for sight seeing and a quick walk to the train station. The hotel was wonderfully clean with nice linens. Enjoyed the breakfast and the staff very much! Wish we had stayed a few more nights there."
