This was a lovely restored old motor lodge. I loved the old charm with the new amenities and was a great spot for a weekend mountain getaway.

I would definitely stay here again. We were here for a long weekend getaway visiting Shenandoah. Check in was a breeze. Staff was friendly. The room was tidy and clean and appeared to be remodeled. The room was exactly what we needed and was a short distance from Walmart, gas and restaurants as well as the middle of Shenandoah.

The room was clean and it had been updated. There is parking right in front which is nice and convenient. The staff was friendly and since it is fall the pool was drained for the season. I would stay here again even though the town of Luray doesn’t have much going on besides the caverns and stopping by Cooter’s Place.

If you are out and about and not into fancy this place us for you. Very clean and perfectly located. Great staff. Close to skyline drive , Luray cabins and other sites. Travelled alone so dont know about family accomadations . Again not fancy but everything works and is very clean

Spotless! Very nice with new renovations. Prices are very reasonable. Pet friendly is such a plus. Only complaint is the tub drained really slow while showering. Simple fix though! Would 100% recommend and stay again.

I've never stayed at one of those roadside motels before but the room is newly renovated and super clean! Exceeds expectations! The staff left before I arrived but they were nice and able to check me in and get me in the room.

Hillside was clean, neat, and convenient to Luray and the mountains. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool. My only complaint is that the towels are small and thin. Otherwise, we enjoyed Hillside fully.

Pros: Very good location. Located by the highway, 10 minute to the entrance of Shenandoah National Park, and 5 minute to the town center of Luray. The amenity is actually good. Although being a motel, the room is more like a suite without kitchen. Cons: The cleanliness is a nightmare. The beddings and mattress have plenty of human hair and dirty stuff. There is a big brown stain on the sink. The pool is outdoor and unguarded. The price is almost double of a regular motel. Yes the room is spacious with good amenities. Yes we booked it at the peak season of SNP. But it is still way too expensive for a motel. Overall: Ok and just ok for one night stay for the park. 2.5/5.

Perfect slice of heaven for a weekend getaway or a

This is an absolute hidden gem. Completely updated, the beds were heaven. Quiet, beautiful views of the mountains. The pool was sparkling clean. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room made it very convenient. The owner is like your best friend. Very responsive. The place was sparkling clean. HIGHLY recommend this place. Whether you're looking for a weekend getaway or a week stay in the mountains, it's close to Luray caverns and many other beautiful places right near Skyline drive. And reasonably priced on top of it all!

This is an older motel that when speaking with the lady at the desk said was just acquired by a new owner last fall. They have done a lot of work to the rooms and exterior of the building with all new everything in the rooms. It is an older place but it being brought up to modern standards and amenities. They are still in the process of getting their vintage sign restored and a few exterior upgrades but I would highly recommend. Has the potential to be one of the nicest motels in the Luray area.
