"This was a lovely property. We enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable. View out our window was beautiful.The only thing I would suggest is either a nonslip mat or some nonslip strips in the bathtub. It was quite slippery. Other than that everything else was great! Thank you so much."

"Stayed in room 210. Overall, I had a great stay. Some things to keep in mind. Since the lodge is right next to Hwy 61, there is a lot of road noise from the constant traffic that is going up and down the shore (the room faced the highway and the window needed to be open to cool it down. The room got a bit warm when the temp was warm outside. Our room did not have airconditioning. There was a portable fan in the room which was a huge help. Be careful crossing the road to visit the lake as Hwy 61...

"We loved staying here. The staff are all helpful and friendly. Even if the decor is outdated as some reviews mention, the rooms and property are immaculate! We’ve never stayed anywhere that every square inch of the room and bathroom were this clean. This hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to downtown Grand Marais. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you!! "
