"Check-in was smooth, and we appreciated being allowed into our room an hour early. Unfortunately, the stay quickly deteriorated due to inconsistent and unsafe guidance from staff. One attendant showed us how to use the thermostat and safe, but instructions were unclear, requiring three calls for help. While common areas were cool, our room was extremely hot. Another staff member said rooms only had heat, not A/C, and advised us to sleep with the windows open. The windows had no screens or security, which felt unsafe. A serious issue arose when a leak developed in the bathroom ceiling, with water coming through the light fixture. This caused repeated power outages. When we called, a staff member told us to reset the circuit breaker ourselves each time power failed—an unsafe and inappropriate instruction. The electricity went out every 5–10 minutes as the leak worsened. A night manager later confirmed the fire risk and moved us. By then, we were exhausted and shaken after following unsafe directions. We had to pack and move multiple times, ending up in a smaller room with no compensation. This all occurred within 12 hours. "Since I have a wheelchair I was given an accessible room that had a lot of space. It was clean, the beds were great. Everything was super nice. Great location to stores & food places. Its a nice neighborhood. "

"A really lovely hotel. We wished we had stayed for our whole trip! Comparable priced hotels in the are half as nice. Staff is fantastic and very helpfully. We left a phone in a cab and the concierge went above and beyond to help us recover it! Hotel is extremely clean and luxurious. The suites opening onto the church really do have that view!! The bells are quiet. The square can be raucous with buskers, but we didn’t mind. Having easy access to the rooftop bar is really a plus. Beds are comfortable. My only complaint is that the breakfast (though delicious) is $30 euros per person which is way overpriced especially if you are eating with kids. There are plenty of breakfast spots close to the hotel. Can’t wait to return! "

"Excellent breakfast. Close to shops restaurants and the hop on hop off bus. There is a renovation project on the promenade outside the hotel on Ramblas but it’s still easy to get around "
