Staff were easy to reach and knowledgeable. Rooms were on the other side of the island near woods restaurant which was a lovely reprieve from the bustle of downtown. We had a really great experience.

Great little out of the way spot. It’s a long walk into town, but there are horse taxis. If you had a bike it would be easy!

The condo location and cleanliness were outstanding! There were very few pots and pans for cooking so if you are staying longer than a few days this can become problematic. The cost for the stay was beyond reasonable for the island. We hope we can get the condo again in the future.

Beautiful peaceful on other side of island beside Stone Cliff resort. Could not fully see lake from room but could see through trees and beautiful sunsets and sunrise! Loved having the small kitchen. Just enough for us. We had a large deck that was great for coffee in the morning and reading. One of my favorite things was taking the horse taxi back and forth every morning and evening. So relaxing and got to so much just that way. We preferred the taxi instead of shuttle because shuttle was only certain time and crowded. It was about the same cost.

Be warned! Many rooms do not have Air conditioning, and they do not make this obvious or noticeable in the listings! 84 degrees in my Deluxe Suite at night, no fans, no offer for a portable unit, worst uncomfortable stay of my life.

We stayed one night. Our room was old but very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and there were extra towels. The only issue was the TV volume was messed up and would go from quiet to loud and couldn’t be adjusted. It would be nice to have several bottles of water for guests since it’s so out of the way. I suggest that you bring food and drinks with you. We did end up going to the general store at the neighbor property Inn at Stonecliffe to buy water. They have a few grab and go items. There is a very nice Woods restaurant and Bobby’s Bar that you can eat at that’s a short walk. You will want to bring something dressier to wear there to dine but we just went in the bar and ordered to go. We had a nice stay at Sunset Condos.

It looked like someone had stayed there and it was not cleaned before our arrival. There were all sorts of home improvement tools on porch. Totally fine with all of that being there, just thought I was sting in a daily weekly rental. Absolutely loved the shower!

The condo is pretty far away from town,however the horse taxis are fun and easily available.They have a porter to send your luggage on,at the ferry docks.So you don’t have to go back and forth.You can stay right in town and explore the island until you are ready to head to your room.When we did our luggage was in room waiting for us.Also the next day at check-out the porter took our luggage to the ferry and made sure we got the next available taxi into town.When we were ready to head back to Macinaw City,we found our luggage held at the dock.Also there are a few nice places within walking distance The Stonecliff is a great place to have drinks and watch the sunset,we had dinner at the Woods.The staff there was very friendly and the food was five star.All in all our stay at the Sundet Condos was a very nice experience.

We booked a room on with two beds on Expedia and got a reservation I’m with one bed and a very worn out pull out couch. Bathroom was functional. Super thin walls and there was just a thin door between us and the condo next to us. We heard loud music and loud talking while our neighbors were getting ready to go out and then loud talking until 2am. Around midnight my husband went to talk to them. They changed nothing. We could literally hear every word clearly. The outside is very dilapidated with junk around. Bed was not comfortable either. Would never recommend.
