"We recently stayed here while visiting family in Iowa. Overall, it was a decent experience with both positives and negatives.
We specifically booked a poolside room, expecting easy access to the pool area. While our room technically overlooked the pool, it was located upstairs and around the corner, which wasn’t quite what we had in mind when booking “poolside.”
The indoor water park was definitely the highlight of our stay. My grandkids had an absolute blast, and it provided hours of entertainment. The room itself was clean, and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and pleasant to interact with throughout our visit.
The property could use some updating, particularly the carpet in the common areas, which is showing its age. Another disappointment was that the restaurant closed because it opened at 3:00 PM, making it difficult to grab lunch.
Overall, if you’re visiting with children and plan to spend time at the water park, it’s worth considering. The friendly staff and clean rooms were appreciated, but some facility updates and expanded dining hours would greatly improve the guest experience."
