Fantastic location! Bare bones room, but exactly as described. Comfortable bed. Only inconvenience was lack of electrical outlets but I jus unplugged the TV and fridge :-)

The hotel location is conveniente since its in front of the metro station and 8min walk feon the principal square. The area is a little noisy since in front of the hotel there are bars so it might be busy and noisy at night. It was clean and the rooms and spacious.

Very good value for money

This hotel is located in the heart of the city. It's very convenient to get to tourist locations by metro from the station immediately in front of the hotel or a short walk to the Sol plaza. The room was tidy and was cleaned every day when we visited. For the cost we paid for this trip with a friend, I am really not complaining.

Cheap and very accessible from the metro. Right in the middle of Madrid. Receptionist very kind and helpful. The room had an old and used vibe but as expected for a two star hotel. Comfy bed, great shower pressure!

We stayed for a short break. The rooms were very clean and you could smell the products when you opened the doors. Rooms are basic and a little tired/worn but for the price point I’d accept that. They had the keys things, okay bed, bathroom, Aircon plus a fan to keep things cool. The staff were all very helpful and could not fault them.

Pros: Staff was nice and understanding. The room was quiet and clean, no complaints. It hostel is close to many highlights of the city Cons: I would have appreciated a water bottle in the room. The AC was functional but it was leaking. I had to move the bed.

Nice place to stay for a couple of nights. PROS: Great location, walkable to main attractions (Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Gran Vía, Museo del Prado). It is just in front of a Metro station and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Unbeatable location, clean room. CONS: They are kind enough to take care of your luggage either before checking in or after checking out. However, are not helpful at all if you need early check in or late check out. Room is decent but extremely small.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They safely stored our luggage and offered to call a taxi for us when leaving. My bathroom door was bigger than the frame, and therefore unable to close. That was my only issue with the hostal.

Decent hostel in the middle of the city. For the price, I think it was decent. However, if you're sensitive to smell and noise, this might not be for you. The noise level is not optimal as you are near the theatres and right upstairs a bar. You'll smell the cigarettes and hear the conversations. The A/C unit did not work. Wifi was decent. The staff was really friendly, and always greeted us when we were in or out.

It has some quirky charm as an old heritage building. My room was very small, which was fine as I had no intention of spending a lot of time there. It faced the courtyard and was quiet. The staff were very friendly and were happy to speak to me in Spanish despite my limited capabilities. The only problem I had was they did not seem to believe me that the air conditioning did not work. Yes, it blew some air, but the temperature did not change and it stayed hot in the room. Or perhaps they thought June is too early to turn on the cooling system? But I persisted with them about it and they did bring in a technician after my second night and got the A/C working again for the second floor. I slept very well the third night.

This was a great property for us. We enjoyed being on the front of the building overlooking the plaza. Some might not appreciate the noise, but we found the spirit in the street as joyful & entertaining. Our room was basic but had the space we needed. The bathroom was really nice for a hotel in this price range. We had a mini-fridge. I would have like an electric tea kettle. Most of the staff was tremendous. The women we had the first day & most days was amazing. She helped with several needs/queries, incuding leaving our luggage after our early overseas flight. Her English was as good as mine. I had two curt encounters with a male staff. He was determined not to try to communicate, even when I tried broken Spanish. My 76 y.o. partner fell & gashed his leg. We asked for an extra pillow to elevate his leg. He pretended to have no idea what I was saying, until I pointed to a picture. He insisted there were no extra pillows in the entire building. The next day, I clearly saw two brand new pillows in the laundry room. BUT everything else about this modest hotel was sweet. Amazingly convenient to public transportation. Metro & bus stop immediately across the street. Bus service directly to train station, Place de Mayor, Puerto del Sol. Several pleasant restaurants on our plaza. Really pleased.
