The staff was very friendly, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location on a quiet street. The only downside was the air conditioning, which didn’t get cold enough to provide relief from the intense Madrid heat in July. Overall, we had a good experience.

What a fantastic surprise! We had chosen the Petit Palace Lealtad Plaza simply because of its proximity to the major museums, but hadn't quite banked on the amazing neighborhood it's nestled in. Quiet, clean, residential, and yet literal steps away from El Prado, among many other landmarks. The room was fantastic: it's rare for a historic building to be both well-maintained and practically, inobtrusively updated. The staff welcoming and generous. We will definitely be back next time we're in Madrid!

Overall, I was very satisfied with my 4-night stay. The location is unbeatable—right by the Retiro Park, which is perfect if you want to go for a run. The staff were very nice and their English was good. The room itself was clean and well-designed, and the breakfast was excellent. The only downside was a slight musty odor in the bathroom, seemingly due to a lack of an exhaust fan. Still a great choice and highly recommended!
