"We stayed one night on a visit to Perth and this will be our go-to hotel on any future visits to the city. From the owner's welcome to the beautiful served breakfast, this hotel ticks all the boxes. Our room and bathroom were spacious and spotlessly clean and the bed was large and very comfortable, There were lots of lovely touches like the welcome scones, real coffee and cafetieres - all the things that make a room feel welcoming and homely. "The staff were very nice, friendly and cheerful, the bed was comfy, the room was hot, the food (dinner and breakfast) was ok. But that’s about it. I don’t understand how a big hotel chain can justify this as a 4 star? The place was dirty, the furniture tired and you could see paint coming off. Let’s not try and pass it as a character property. It needs investment and serious refurbishment as it’s currently a very old and not looked after b&b than a 4 star boutique. "

"A very pleasant and convenient place to stay for train travellers. There is no elevator for the upper floor, but that didn’t affect me. The weather in April isn’t quite nice enough to sit outside and enjoy the patio and view, but it would be excellent in the warmer months."

"Room, pub and staff were lovely. However, if you're looking to get a good nights rest avoid the tower. Its a pub so loud music and open till late, walls and floors paper thin so you can hear conversations going on downstairs, music thumbping till midnight and then the person tidying up was pushing the chairs along the wooden flooring which created a loud screeching noise"

"The room was spotless, warm and spacious. We opted for Deluxe room which was situated in the annexed building on ground level. The staff were extremely welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful. Plenty of storage and coat/clothes hanging space. Being in a rural spot, we found it very peaceful. A large car park is sited just across the road, which links Perth and nearby Glenfarg. The manager and chef provided recommendations for places to visit by car. We enjoyed our stay here, part of a longer touring...
