"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hawthorne Hotel. Our room and bathroom weren’t huge, but they were clean and comfortable. The lobby was welcoming. Guests would sit and visit with each other there, or just enjoy the newspaper. There was hot coffee available in the morning and water/lemonade in the afternoon. The desk staff were friendly and helpful.
The location is perfect for walking downtown or to the ferry to Boston. There is plenty of free parking behind the hotel, so there’s no hassle in finding on street parking.
The only issue I had was with my dinner at the onsite restaurant. I ordered the chicken, but it was a bit dry. My husband had the salmon and really enjoyed it. The ambience is nice and the bar offers a wide variety of drinks.
I would stay there again."
