"Property currently being renovated and we scored a room not yet renovated and yes it really needs it - rotten timber in bathroom door frame; no grate in basin outlet, fan noisy, timber louvres in windows missing and let a lot of light in; shower frame over bath leaks all over floor; toilet seat hinge broken, fridge base rotten so fridge very rocky. Room smelled strongly of bleach; TV wouldn't work and on investigation found aerial connection out of socket. Also no compendium in room and no wifi info given when checking in - had to go to reception to enquire. AC worked well (newish); bed hard, pillows like sacks of potatoes, but good quality linen. Parking very limited and tight if you have a 4 wheel drive. Pool recently refurbished looks nice but why put sand under the lounges - result: sand in the spa! The only good things going for this establishment are the price and location. We have been told some rooms have been renovated but I'm not sure if they are the same price as the one we stayed in. Will only stay here again if we can score one of the refubed rooms at a good price."

"One bedroom cabin was a good size for 2 . Huge bathroom. Good kitchen. Living area small. Very clean. Outside area dark due to direction it faced and trees. Kiosk okay and reasonably priced. Lots of parking. Only stayed one night so didn’t explore all amenities. Good for the price. Located average but suited us as we were heading south of Cairns."

"Great location. Helpful concierge staff. Room is fine BUT shower blocked from second night. water got everywhere. We have to wait for an hours before the second person can shower. Otherwise the room would be flooded"

"Apartment was very modern, tidy and in a quiet, tranquil area that is close to the beach and Smithfield shops, while being less than 20 mins from the CBD. It was well equipped with a dishwasher, full size fridge and freezer, washing machine and dryer. The complex is secure, had sufficient parking, a good pool and outdoor area, and good views of the nature reserve behind the complex (which had kangaroos and wallabys). Staff were polite and attentive, and there to help when needed. The reception has a cafe and nice sitting area too."
