This was a great place to stay if you want to be in a quieter scenic area. It was not in the center of town, but was easily walkable along the lake. It took an average of 15-20 min walk to get to the Ferris wheel in Lecco and it was a 25-30 min walk to the main Lecco train station. The room in the hotel was clean and the restaurant had great dinner options!

This was a lovely hotel and we really enjoyed our weekend away….. only a few issues that made it a bit more difficult….. our room was very far from the entrance and the location of the hotel was okay, about a 15/20 min walk to the ferry port and 15/20 min walk to the train station so when it rained it was quite a treck! we loved the hotel overall and the breakfast was wonderful with a stunning view of the lake however in the evening there was limited options for food in the hotel and it was extremely expensive, really enjoyed our stay and thank you to griso staff for being so welcoming!

The breakfast was really nice with beautiful view of Lake Como. my room was so loud with the noise of the highway, couldn't sleep. the staffs were very nice.

My husband and I loved this hotel and the view of the lake was as promised when we booked. The breakfast was amazing, with plenty of selections for various dietary options. Definitely recommend and we would probably go back next year to book the same room again

A nice hotel, clean room, great view over the lake. For me personally the bed was a bit hard, but I'm used to a very soft bed. The breakfast was great, a lot of choices and a stunning view over the lake. A plus for the ease of parking since we were driving. Also fairly easy to find.

Beautiful view! Large comfort room with a very nice shower. We didn’t have hot water for the jetted tub on the balcony which was the only down side. Breakfast with the best view!

This hotel has one of the most unbeatable views on the lake. The rooms are modern and comfortable. Its really nice to go for morning walks out of the building and along the lake. Its an excellent property with super staff.

The stay at Hotel Griso was amazing from the moment we got there. The staff was incredible. We were initially greeted by Luca. He was so kind and welcoming. He was knowledgeable of the inner city logistics and helpful. We enjoyed speaking with him very much. Giona was also helpful and did a great job of multitasking the front desk with all demands coming at him at once. The manager Fiorella of the breakfast was so sweet and accommodating. Inclusion of the staff, the room was so comfortable. It was spacious and clean. They provided drinks in the mini fridge at cost, but I appreciated the convenience. There was room service daily. The food at breakfast was so delicious and had a huge variety. We also ate dinner from the restaurant that was incredible and rich in flavor. The view was gorgeous. You can't beat it. We enjoyed the spa one evening and the views around were breathtaking. This location was quiet and easily accessible by walking or bus. My family felt so cared for at Hotel Griso. You can't go wrong staying here especially with the reasonable cost each night.

advertised jacuzzi was running cold 85 degrees. Not a normal temperature for jacuzzi. This is the top reason we selected this hotel. WiFi is mediocre especially in the balcony area. Carpet is stained and old. Views are magnificent. Access to restaurants and shops are easy.

Front desk nearly ruined our vacation
The hotel itself is very nice and fine but the front desk staff nearly ruined our vacation. I reached out to them a month ahead of time to ask about airport transportation options since I was travelling with a large group. They seemed very helpful, I was expecting perhaps the contact info for a company or two, but they actually described the terms and I agreed to their offer to arrange it and got an email stating it was confirmed. I stopped by the front desk the day before we left to confirm it and was again told yes, it was arranged. Fast forward to the pickup time and they’re a no-show…turned out no one actually made the reservation. They admitted as much when I asked. They told us they could come a full 2 hrs after the requested time which would’ve caused us to make our check in under the barest of timelines (ie only if no traffic and no lines at airport) and didn’t seem very interested in amending their mistake by seeking other options. On our own we called a local cab company who fortunately saved us, albeit at a much higher cost than the prearranged transport would have been. I’d stay there only if you don’t need to entrust anything that important to their team, but our stay was very soured by that awful ending.

Suggestion for improvement is to make the shower are more accessible to elderly such as adding grab bars. One downside to Lecco is the lack of reliable taxi service especially on weekends. While the hotel is accessible from the cafes and shopping areas for younger people, it is hard without taco for older people.

Lake Como is stunning, and this was our favourite stop along our trip. Our view was incredible overlooking the lake and the Italian Alps. It’s a short walk across the bridge to Lecco, which was convenient for dining. However Lecco is a mostly residential town with not much to do. One big downside is that exploring the lake by ferry is the primary option, however ferry service on the east side of the lake is limited. If you don’t catch the early ferries before lunch, you could end up as we were, stuck with no way back. If you entire out for dinner, there is only one taxi stand in Bellaggio, so make sure to book your ride back ahead of time. Our hotel didn’t mention this to us, and we got caught in a storm with one sole taxi available and prices skyrocketing. It was worth every penny, but next time staying a little closer to the action will be the plan.

This hotel is located on a great location on Lake Como. The parking garage was a real plus. The rooms are large, and ours had a balcony that faced the lake. The breakfast was one of the better ones we have ever had in Europe.

The view from the room and patio were amazing and also from rooftop restaurant and bar. The breakfasts and dinner were of the very highest quality and reasonably priced. However the jacuzzi was open only from 10-7: exactly when people are out for the day. Every other hotel in Italy I have stayed at kept pool or hot tub open til 9 or 10 and opened by 9. Also there was some dinginess : stained carpets in hallways and 2 brown foot shaped stains in carpet in my room.

My worst place to stay in Italy. The staff at the desk was not very helpful. I couldn't even get dinner my first night there, they told me dining was booked and to call out and have something delivered and no one in the area delivers. I was booked for 3 nights and I only stayed 2. The girls working in the breakfast area were very helpful and friendly.
