We enjoyed our stay. The location is very close to the station. The staff were kind and friendly. We were also able to leave our large bags for a while after checking out, which was great. Dinner and breakfast were delicious.

La cena nel pub collegato all'hotel è stata buona, anche la colazione molto buona, solo che l'orario alle 9.00 era un poco tardi

Very good for an overnight stay before catching a ferry. The menu and the quality of food at the evening meal was excellent. Croissants, coffee and cereal offered in the morning with hot food if requested.

The room and dining area were very nicely updated! The staff on hand went above and beyond to help us out. One note: if you do “reserve now, pay at property,” they did charge us within a few days of reserving rather than waiting. We weren’t able to get this resolved. I would still stay there again, but just be prepared to pay when booking.

Lovely room - nice and clean and warm. Great breakfast, lots of choice. Staff all very pleasant. Will definitely book again when we next visit Mallaig. Have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends.

Personnel accueillant et serviable et à l'écoute de nos besoins (pack lunch complet si départ avant heure du breakfast à 8h). La chambre était très propre, literie confortable, produits toilette de très bonne qualité et vue sur les collines environnantes. Petit bémol concernant le bruit du pub, mais pas gênant après une bonne journée bien fatiguante. NB pas de parking privé, mais places disponibles aux alentours

All perfect, the chowder, was.the best ever eaten. Staff fab, even when mad busy ran a case upstairs for us. They never stressed. Some may have a little with the noise from downstairs stairs quite late but we were fine with it

Proper stay for a night or two. Very friendly welcome at the bar. Room was recently renovated with a good mattress and clean bathroom. Improvement points: Hallway to the rooms smells to smoking. Service at breakfast could be improved, the lady seemed in a bad mood.

The room itself was clean. Tha hallway was not, v tired looking, dirty carpet, towels draped over windowsill, big box of junk in the hall. I didn’t really mind that though. The main gripes are that it was advertised as having satellite tv and a hairdryer in every room. There was no hairdryer and when I went down to ask was told there was none anywhere and the staff couldn’t have really cared less. Had been camping and trekking in wet Scottish wilds for days so was really looking forward to getting warm and dry. Only the terrestrial channels on the tv worked intermittently. No streaming channels worked. But by far the most disappointing thing was the very loud music until around 1:30 which kept me away until then. Really disappointed.

The room is basic. Not charming but it has what you need. Newly renovated bathroom. It is placed over the pub so some noise is to be expected. The pub would profit from cleaning up the surroundings. The dinner was the best we had in Scotland and the staff the most helpful.

Sticky wooden surfaces. No hairdryer. Though we had reserved a table for dinner, we were consigned to bar area on battered seating and near exit to toilets. Room was above the bar up steep , external concrete steps into a narrow, noisy corridor. The bar had a licence until 1a.m. so was blasting out music until then.

Clean, mostly comfortable room - the pillows were the only let down. We had a really lovely evening meal in the pub and very good breakfast. There was an unpleasant smell of smoke in the hallway outside our room which was likely from the cigarette bin immediately outside.
