"A truly wonderful stay – we didn’t want to leave! We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Conversas de Alpendre, and it genuinely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found somewhere very special. The staff were absolutely amazing and could not have done more for us. The level of personal service was exceptional — they remembered our names, our preferences and the little things we liked, which made us feel incredibly welcome and looked after throughout our stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent, and the whole property has such a wonderful sense of peace and tranquillity. If you are looking for somewhere to genuinely switch off, rest and relax, this is the place. The pool is fantastic — a really good size and, importantly, large enough to actually swim in rather than the small hotel pools you often find. It was a real pleasure to spend time there. And then there are the views… absolutely stunning. Looking out across the carob tree forest towards the sea is simply beautiful and gives the whole place such a feeling of space and serenity."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Verdelago and would happily return. The resort is beautiful, the staff were wonderful throughout, and the restaurant team in particular were fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and really made the stay feel special. Honestly, the only things missing for us were a spa and a heated pool. Add those and it would be pretty much perfect! We had such a lovely time and would definitely stay again."

"This was my first visit to the property however it will not be my last. Beautiful outlook with plenty of greenery and fruit trees to sit among. Breakfast is a feast with a little bit of everything, all the tarts and bakes a handmade by the hosts it is delicious. As you are in a rural setting having a car would be best although we did not have a car and it didn’t stop us at all, you can use Uber no bother and you are actually only a 10 minute walk away from a local train station which has a regular service to Tavira and many other destinations which is great. Fred and his wife are lovely and will support you with whatever you need, they will give you some great dinner recommendations for local restaurants. 10 out of 10 cannot wait to come back"

"This was my second solo week at this hotel and I was more than happy with my return visit. The hotel is spacious and welcoming with very well kept gardens. The room I had was again spacious and clean. The food is incredible with many different things to try at each meal; this was one of the main attractions luring me back to the hotel from last year! The pool is clean and family friendly without being too loud. The staff are very friendly without being ‘in your face’ which I found perfect. The road train down to the beach is a lovely trip where you can see avocados growing on the trees as well as typical citrus fruit of the region."
