"Our experience at TRYP by Wyndham Mayagüez was extremely disappointing. While the hotel itself looks decent, the service was unacceptable and made our stay very frustrating.
On the first night, our room had no water. We immediately reported the issue to Louis at the front desk, who told us maintenance would come, but no one ever arrived. There was no follow-up call, no update, and no effort made to check whether the issue had been resolved. 🚫
The next day, our room was not cleaned at all. When we asked about it, we were told they were short-staffed, but no one informed us in advance. The response from the front desk was cold and dismissive, with no apology or attempt to accommodate the inconvenience.
Another constant issue was the parking garage gate. Every time we returned to the hotel, the gate remained closed and did not open automatically. We repeatedly had to get out of the car and ask the front desk to manually open it because staff were not paying attention. 🚗
Basic communication, responsiveness, and guest service were clearly lacking throughout our stay. For the price paid, this level of service is unacceptable. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel."
