"Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden exceeded our expectations. The rooms -- with all having an amazing view -- provides a very efficient use of space. The breakfast buffet is outstanding -- offering an array of delicious items. And the service staff was top notch. And you can't find a better location to the popular attractions. Bus line 840 and 843 is a quick 10-minute trip from the Berchtesgaden train station. And the boat ride and Jennerbahn are 1 and 2 bus stops respectively. If you are an active...

"We were greeted at the reception by a friendly lady and even though we were early, we got to check in. There was a welcoming plate of cookies at the reception which proved to be a delight for my daughter. We got a family accommodation and it was two separate rooms with separate bathrooms. Pleasantly surprised by that. Very clean rooms. The walking distance to places was close enough - to the train station, to the river and to the city centre. "
