The Seascape is a beautiful property right on a quiet section of beach close to SK Town surf break. Stunning views. Our family of three spent 3 nights. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and kind. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the evening dinner specials were fantastic; varied Sri Lankan cuisine. Highly recommended

Truly relaxing escape at Seascape

We loved out stay, hotel staff were so attentive and went out of our way to enjoy the experience. The meals were truly amazing, Dinusla cooked our dinner as we were the first guests for the season and Wow! It was the best Sri/Lankan meal we have ever had. Breakfast was so delicious, fresh fruit & juice, eggs of choice plus delicious delicate curry with roti. Sean, Uden and Shenal were fabulous, they felt like family when we had to depart.

Tolle Unterkunft am Meer, schöner Garten, gutes und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück! Sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man Ruhe sucht und surfen möchte. Am Strand ist man oft allein, paradiesisch. Mirissa ist schnell z.B. mit Tuktuk erreichbar.

Very friendly and helpful staff! They made the experience extra lovely ☺️The hotel is placed right on the beach and has a gorgeous view. You can rent surfboards close to the hotel and there are some restaurants in walking distance. It is only 30 min to Marissa by tuktuk.

Great hotel at a calm beach

The Seascape is a nice hotel at a calm beach very close to Matara and 30min to mirissa by tuktuk (~5$). There are also several restaurants, Surf shops and convenience stores in walking distance (5-10 min) The hotel is very clean, rooms are super comfy, air-con and hot water works perfectly. The breakfast was really good and you can enjoy it with a view on the beach and waves. The garden in front has a direct entrance to the beach, there are always high waves, which makes it a perfect spot for surfers. What makes this hotel really special, is the people. The whole staff and the owner family are simply amazing and lovely! We can only recommend the seascape!

Wonderful stay at The Seascape!

We had a wonderful stay at Seascape! We have stayed in the past and during its infancy. It just gets better each time! You are staying directly on a beautiful swimming and surfing beach. The sound of the waves lulls you to sleep at night. The staff, Senal, Nethmi & Kasun were incredible, attending to our every needs and always with a smile. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. We were even treated to a Sri Lankan spread one morning. And Senal even cooked a fish we caught for dinner one evening! The garden has matured over the years which provides plenty of shade during the heat of the day for all the rooms. We loved it all so much we are staying there again on our last two nights in Sri Lanka. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This place has an amazing location right on a calm and really beautiful beach. Mirissa is only 30 min away with TukTuk. The rooms are really nice, spacious and beautiful (we stayed in one with a balcony.) Everyone was really friendly and helpful but be prepared to wait when you order food/ask for anything etc (normal for Sri Lanka). The breakfast was great but the rest of the food was a bit uneven. We can really recommend this place, stayed in another great hotel in Mirissa as well but this was our favorite. Much thanks to the beautiful and calm location.

Ruhiges Boutiquehotel mit super Personal

Das Hotel liegt ruhig und etwas abseits der üblichen Strandhotels. Es hat einen natürlichen Privatstrand, an dem man nicht von fliegenden Händlern belästigt wird. Das Personal und die Eigentümer sind super freundlich und kümmern sich während des gesamten Aufenthalts jederzeit um ihre Gäste. Wir haben bei der Ankunft ein Upgrade auf ein Balkonzimmer mit super Blick aufs Meer bekommen. Und auch für unseren Fahrer wurde eine Unterkunft gestellt, was bei so kleinen Hotels nicht immer der Fall ist. Neben dem Frühstück wird auch ein Mittag- und Abendessen a la carte angeboten. Sehr lecker! Mein Mann hat sich einmal zum Mittagessen den Butterfisch vom Grill bestellt. Der Koch hatten den Fisch gerade nicht da, weshalb er schnell gefahren ist und am Markt noch einen besorgt hat. Frischer geht es nicht.

Beautiful hotel with private beach

Lovely small hotel with beautiful rooms and bathrooms. The view from the room is perfect, even the small rooms downstairs. Good place to stay for a couple of quiet days, good beach to surf; boards can be rented at the hotel - cheap. The breakfast could be more interesting, pretty basic: toast with jam or choice of eggs, coffe and fruit.

We were warmly greeted by Yanaka and his team when we stepped into The Seascape after a long Tuk-Tuk ride from Unawatuna. We were delighted with our room #6 which opened straight out onto the garden, and private beach. The room and bathroom were kept spotlessly clean, our housekeeper insisted on changing the sheets every day, and sweeping up thoroughly. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for them & everything done with a smile. The breakfast was excellent and always beautifully presented, served to our table. Fruit, toast, eggs or pancakes with tea or coffee. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening, chef made us delicious seared tuna starter, and a grilled chicken ensemble of his creation. All once again beautifully served and presented. Sitting under the shade umbrellas in the garden was a delight, as we loved watching all the creatures around us - Chameleons, Monitor lizards, mongoose, beautiful birds, fireflies at night & even a snake went past one day. It was akin to being in a Discovery Channel episode. The Seascape is a small boutique hotel with a private beach, which the housekeeper also kept clean and tidy. The hotel reception / dining area is modern, spacious and airy. We loved the twinkly lights in the swimming pool at night. We enjoyed our stay for 7 nights, and then departed to explore another area. Seascape is a great peaceful place to chill out. Many thanks to Yanaka & all the staff for looking after us so well.

Modernt hotell med pool. Fräscht och mycket trevlig personal. Regnade in i rummet under ett skyfall. Detta skulle kanske gett en kompensation på priset.. Nära till havet, ca 50 meter. Gratis utlåning av surfingbrädor.

Tout allait bien ... les odeurs ont tout gâché

Notre expérience au Seascape s'annonçait formidable, le cadre de l'hôtel est agréable, la plage belle, et le côté "boutique hôtel" intimiste vraiment super ... Un accueil chaleureux nous a été apporté par le manager de l'hôtel (qui a par ailleurs été formidable tout au long du séjour). Le directeur de l'hôtel - agréable également - s'est quant à lui occupé de notre expédition pour aller voir les baleines qui fut absolument idyllique (10 personnes sur le bateau, départ très tot pour éviter la foule de bateaux ... super expérience et organisation) Notre déception a commencé lorsque nous avons constaté être logés dans les chambres de plein pied et non en étage, mais bon ce sont des choses qui peuvent arriver surtout dans établissement intimiste. Le problème principal s'est révélé en fin de première journée quand nous nous sommes aperçus que notre salle de bain sentait l'urine et les toilettes publiques (véritablement), la situation s'est empirée jusqu'à notre départ avec la bonne surprise d'un cafard le matin même ... Le manager et le directeur de l'hôtel semblent eux même avoir été dégouté de l'odeur quand nous leur avons demandé de venir constater. Le pire étant qu'ils nous ont informé "être au courant de ce problème" ... Pourquoi donc continuer de vendre la chambre ? Très joli hôtel

Hôtel situé sur la plage, très joli jardin avec transat et parasol à dispo, personnel très gentil et souriant, la plage est tranquille, et très bien pour surfer. Pour les points négatifs, la piscine est constamment à l’ombre et froide, c’est dommage, la plage est pleine de détritus à certains endroits, c’est souvent le cas au Sri Lanka mais c’est vraiment dommage sur de si jolies plages... j’ai craqué sur le porte cure-dent éléphant disposé sur les tables et malgré ma demande d’en acheter un et mes nombreuses relances, je n’ai jamais eu de réponse, même négative... il n’y a rien à proximité de l’hôtel il faut un tuktuk pour aller n’importe où et l’hôtel étant récent il n’est pas connu des taxi et tuktuk
