"Location was good and parking was convenient, while expensive. But the bathroom had a strong sour smell, like wet towels left too long in the washing machine. What I wish the hotel would have told me, though, was that a marathon’s starting/finish line would be literally outside my window. Equipment and sound checks began at 4 am and continued until the marathon itself, with thousands of runners, joined the noise. We got no sleep but couldn’t even leave in the AM because of road closures. I feel like the hotel should have said something at check-in. At the very least I would have insisted on a room on the other side of the building and planned for the travel time I lost in the morning."
