"Hilary and Oliver are so hospitable and warm and everything you can want in B&B hosts. They are so accommodating in every way. The breakfast is superb- fresh cooked to order Irish breakfast or avocado toast with salmon or egg. They worked so hard to patiently and kindly accommodate our dietary needs and each thing we asked for to make our stay great. "Castlehacket House is an amazing place in a very lovely, but remote location. We were very well taken care of in a beautiful room with a lovely breakfast the next day. The hosts took care of all the guests at breakfast with a very personable service and it is somewhere I would not hesitate to return too."

"Nice clean rooms. Comfy beds. The toilets are communal but there’s lots of them so we never waited for them. It actually speeded us all up getting ready as we had a toilet each in the morning. Free supplies for breakfast and a fully functioning kitchen. Big car park too. The only negative was the check in process. You collect keys from the bar and there was a party on so we had to wait half an hour for someone to come with the keys "

"Great location in Cong. Close to everything. Parking wasn't a problem. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. The only advice is that they don't have an elevator/lift. If you're on the second floor, you will have to haul your luggage up a narrow flight of stairs. Also, like most places in Ireland, no wash clothes. "

"The breakfast was made to order and delicious, plus had a ton of extra sides to eat. The staff very friendly, parking on site, not problem. The bedroom was large and the poster bed was comfortable and actually a king size. "

"Great place to stay in Westport! The room was a great size considering it only slept two people. The bathroom seemed recently updated and was very nice (especially the shower). The location was great for exploring the town and being close to pubs, restaurants, and activities. They had a nice living room type area downstairs to sit, but no additional amenities."

"Staff were excellent, had an issue with room heating, health with it quickly and efficiently, no issues. I think it's equally important to rate a hotel not just on how well it runs but also how it handles any issues should they crop up. Would be happy to return on my next visit. "
