My original room had an old bed that played havoc with my back.
At 7:00am the following morning I told the concierge and he was going to get the staff to make the bed firmer. Five hours later nothing had been done and his solution was to put doonas on the mattress to firm it up. I was most distressed, exhausted from moving out of my apartment and needed to taken strong painkillers and rest. Eventually I was put into a room where the concierge asked me to try the mattress as it was ‘a new one’. It was good. This room was not an upgrade but a downgrade to a single room from my two rooms. It was in better condition than the more expensive one. The bathroom/s need upgrading and hotel products need to be on hand. The second room had better shower products than the more expensive one. One tissue left in the box with no spare in the room or bathroom. No jug to put water in the fridge.
The dining facilities were excellent both in food and staff. I have not paid the bill as I’m waiting for a proper adjustment not a one of $68.69 credit. There are two nights that I stayed in the cheaper room with no adjustment. Overall, it has left a sour taste and I don’t believe I will stay there again.
