"The most amazing thing about The Wish Hotel Bahia is the staff. We checked in with two reservations—a single night via Expedia and a week with our timeshare. In an attempt to honor our request for an upgrade from a standard room, Rafael appointed a bellman to show us several options. The day after our arrival was Easter Sunday and much of the city was closed for the holiday. Henrique’s—who was an absolute delight for our entire stay—searched the internet for museums and other venues that could occupy our day. He recommended restaurants, gave us walking directions, advised us on how to stay safe, and checked on the status of our time in Salvador everyday that he was on duty. As first-time visitors to Salvador, these interactions were invaluable to us. There are two restaurants—the one closest to the bar leaves much to be desired. We didn’t try the other, but it has great reviews. The bed was very comfortable, and our three issues with the room concerned the military school that performed drills sometimes as early as 6:45am., the shower—which was a nice size, had a shower head that only pointed toward the floor and water pooled nearly an inch deep in the back of it that had to be swept toward the drain. "

"Beautiful boutique hotel in a converted colonial house. The staff were very friendly and gave great recommendations. The rooms were spacious and property itself was well preserved and perfectly styled. The location was perfect in the heart of the old town, and walkable to most places and an easy uber down to the beach. We’d recommend this hotel as a base to explore Salvador! "

Obiekt, stary, kolonialny z historią, ma swój niepowtarzalny urok ale też i wady z racji na swoją historię. W momencie arę czysty, bez robactwa, i z wspaniałym śniadaniem. Minusy są 2, w obu pokojach, klimatyzacja ledwo chłodziła, cały czas był przy tej temperaturze, zaduch w pokoju. Drugi minus, to osoba z rannej zł aby za biurkiem. Patrzył na wszystko jak policjant, podczas śniadania jego wzrok powodowal że nie wiedzieliśmy czy możemy jeść czy nie. Wydaje mi się że taka postawa może zniechęcić klientów, sami niejednokrotnie zastanawialiśmy się czy nie zmienić hotelu bo źle się czuliśmy w jego obecności. "

"If you are considering booking this hotel, I need you to remember that it’s okay to stay at home. I stayed here two nights and it was awful. The rooms lacked windows and had terrible air circulation. There was a fan that was very dusty and loud and so you could not leave it on. The sheets and towels are also very cheap. They malted on my clothes so they were covered in white fluff by the end of my trip. The area is also said to feel unsafe at night because there are abandoned buildings with squatters in them. I don’t recommend. "

Americans and Europeans should learn more about cultural and living standards before going so as not to be shocked by room layouts and bathroom designs and bed placement as well as lack of face cloths. Also, lack of screened windows. Refrigeration prep and ice buildup are concerns. I was very pleased with the flexibility of owner and staff. They all showed concern and looked after my travel companion and me. I loved the location and access to a myriad of transportation, recreation, culture, cafes, shopping, entertainment, educational sources and resources. Overall, my stay was magnificent!
