"August 2025, family of 4 stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the second floor. First time in Portugal I really didn’t know where to choose to stay, mixed reviews about the accommodation but I just went with it. Lovely friendly staff, beautiful pool, great location and the apartment was clean, spacious, kitchen well equipped and the apartment cleaned daily. "The Vila Gale Cerro has everything that you would need at a resort hotel. We were able to enjoy the pool area which had food and drink options throughout the day. Pool was a bit cool but refreshing and large - perfect for a hot day. We had no problem finding pool loungers in the middle of the afternoon - plenty of space. The location of the hotel is also convenient for walking to the beach and nightlife. Room was clean and comfortable with a nice balcony. Great option for a stay in...

"A lovely 3 nights in the Velamar We had a room on the 2nd floor woth a sea view which was very nice. A lovely live singer around the pool on Friday afternoon she was really good. A great choice at breakfast on the roof top restaurant. All of the staff were helpful, polite and friendly. Overall a lovely hotel and can recommend staying there. "
