To be clear about what happened: the AC in our room was broken and never fixed. We waited until past midnight with no resolution. When a room change was finally offered at 1:00 AM, it was simply not a realistic option. We had three young children who were already asleep. Waking them up, gathering all of our belongings, and moving floors in the middle of the night, just hours before a 4:30 AM wake-up for a flight, would have caused more disruption than it solved. No reasonable parent would put their children through that.
So we stayed. We spent the night in a hot room, got little to no sleep, and left exhausted for our flight.
The fundamental purpose of a hotel room is rest and comfort. That was completely denied to us through no fault of our own. Charging us for a stay where we could not sleep, in a room that was never repaired, while we sat awake watching over our children in the heat, is simply wrong.
Promises and kind words are an intangible gesture that do not reflect the real inconvenience, discomfort, and exhaustion my family experienced. We are requesting a full refund for this stay.
We trust you will do the right thing and look forward to your prompt response.
