"While the property is a bit dated, we found our spacious room to be clean and very comfortable. Having their wonderful restaurant within the same building as our room proof to be an absolute delight. One issue that we encountered was at our arrival which was about an hour early. Her being early was an understandable problem as we didn’t realize Michigan city was in the central time zone as we were traveling through Central Indiana, and on eastern time. The young lady at the desk seemed completely unengaged and merely informed us that we were early and that was pretty much too bad for us. However, once we came back check-in was reasonably pleasant. We will definitely look forward to coming back and spending another peaceful weekend."

"We arrived August 14, 2026. We were assigned a room, we went up to our room and it was dirty. Came back downstairs the lady at the desk said that they were sold out. There were no available rooms. She was there by herself housekeeping had left and she would have to clean the room herself. I suggested she talk to a manager and possibly give us a room that was ready for someone who has not arrived yet. That’s exactly what she did. She was very apologetic and very helpful. I appreciated that we were giving a new room quickly. The room we were given was fantastic. A huge suite that was modern clean and beyond our expectations. It was room 222. I appreciated how helpful she was in a very stressful and unfortunate situation."
