"Check in staff were so helpful and kind. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and swim up bar. No coolers were allowed in pool area. Had to purchase their alcohol. We enjoyed our stay. This was our second time staying and first time we were able to use the pool. The A/C unit was loud, woke me up every time it kicked on. I ended up just turning it off. They had security at the entrances to the facility during after hours. We felt very safe and comfortable. Not sure why they needed security but it was a nice feature. We definitely recommend staying here. Such a close 5 minute or less walk to restaurants/downtown."

"Visiting Sandusky for the forth time and our 3rd stay here. Room was comfortable and staff was responsive. Enjoyed the outside patio and fire pit after a hard day at work."

The Wave at Marblehead

"The Wave was a beautiful property in close proximity to the village of Marblehead. The small boutique hotel had an on grounds bar and restaurant, which is always a must for us. My only complaint was the food at the restaurant. I had a sticky rice appetizer, which had the smallest amount of fish possible and was very disappointing. The next night we ordered a roast beef sandwich. While the amount of meat was generous, the disappointing part was that it was served cold and felt more like a deli style sandwich than a hot cheesy roast beef that I had expected. For a $24 + 2 more dollars for fries I, again, expected more. The hamburger was delicious…so just a few minor adjustments and the property would be perfect."

"We stayed here for a quick night over after a cedar point trip. We checked in about midnight. Check in was quick and painless. The room was clean. You can tell its dated but the updates are nice. The onlu reason im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is for personal reason. There was only 3 pillows for my wife and I the showers head was pretty low for both of us being taller. The shower was hot and great pressure and the ac was cold! For a quick cheaper cost place near cedar point it was pretty good."

"The floor could have been cleaned better there were lots of dust bunnies on the floor and our trash was not removed from the previous guests. Our room was much cleaner on our first visit. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and parking was easy. The front desk staff were very nice and friendly. I would stay there again. Perfect hotel for a day at Cedar Point."
