"The room was not cleaned at all. We found a papa John’s pizza in the drawer and there was dog food on the floor (clearly from previous guests). We also found flowers and small sticks from outside on the floor. Very obvious that all was done was making our beds prior to our arrival. We asked for our sheets to get changed but housekeeping leaves at 11am. My son got sick from the breakfast that was offered and got some type of stomach bug since he was throwing up for the past 48hrs since we fed him...

First of all apparently the communication between Expedia and the hotel is terrible, because while I adjusted the date of my stay on Expedia, it did NOT translate to the hotel system. The front desk man repeatedly told me how the error was NOT HIS FAULT and IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME and it's all on Expedia. I was told to call Expedia and had a 30 MINUTE wait until it was resolved eventually between being passed...

"I would not recommend this hotel. This is the most run down Fairfield I have stayed at. The noise from the highway is significant. There are better places to stay in the area."

I had planned to stay and work after checkout but they were having some big event and wouldn't let me sit in the dining area or the business room (which was a reason I booked this hotel) because of it. "Love the Litchfield Inn. Had a mix up with the room I initially booked through Expedia and ended up in a different room, but the Inn was very helpful through email and could not do anything about the room mix up because my reservation was initially booked through Expedia; but after some time I needed to put into this, it was taken care of. Room HVAC unit extremely noisy. Someone was smoking weed in non-smoking hotel and our room reeked. Would not recommend."
