"This property had the most convenient location to access lake Oeschinensee with all the alpine amenities. Proper gym, lovely sauna, and the on site dining was delightful. Breakfast was a huge hit for my whole family but the seasonal pumpkin soup and salad were unmatched and by far the best thing eaten while in Switzerland.
The staff were welcoming and helpful, the rooms were accommodating and clean. 10/10, would recommend."
"A big thank you to everyone at Alaia Lodge for such a warm welcome. We came here on a father/son golf trip we had wanted to do for many years and we chose to stay at Alaia because of its convenient walking distance to the golf course, and it proved to be a wonderful choice. We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful town, surrounded by lovely scenery. We only wish we had more time to explore the area and take in more of its beauty!
Everyone at Alaia was so friendly and welcoming and this was evidenced as we arrived for our check-in. A special thank to who welcomed us there with the lovely upgraded room with the balcony/mountain view. It was a very thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more special. The rooms and breakfast were both great too.

"I had such a lovely stay here during my visit to Gstaad! A wonderful place to relax and enjoy this beautiful mountain village. I was travelling on my own and felt very comfortable and at ease. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel from the moment we arrived until the 9th day we checked out. Our junior suite, adorned with red rose petals felt extra special for our anniversary. We especially loved the generous breakfast buffet and the option to order from the a la carte menu at no extra charge. Also pleasantly surprised to find complimentary sparkling wine and unlimited bottled water from their well and you if you like you can also drink water from the faucet. It was so nice waking up to the ringing cowbells.
The amenities were outstanding featuring a spa with 5 different saunas, cold pool, Jacuzzi, and a relaxing chill out lounge with stunning views and comfy blankets. We also appreciated the free shuttle rides to and from the station within five minutes requesting a ride. The hotel grounds are stunning, with a vibrant garden, serene heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool and plenty of spaces to unwind.
It is a 15-20 minute walk to the charming Kandersteg village. Plenty of hike routes in the area and a gondola ride takes you up the breathtaking Oeschinensee Lake. The restaurant in the hotel is also fantastic! Best Dover sole I have ever eaten. Oh and complimentary tea and cake every afternoon!
