"We were only in Balogna for one night, so we were looking for a cheap clean hotel. This was it. Nothing fancy but it worked for us. Breakfast in the morning was convenient for 10 euros. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely not anything luxurious but it was clean and that’s all that mattered to us."

"We arrived in Bologna by train for a 2-night stay and the Starhotels Excelsior was a great place to land. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station and within a 20 minute walk to the center of town, which made it ideal for our needs. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient, and the room was spacious - you could walk around without tripping over suitcases - with a comfortable bed. Also, it was very quiet inside the room - any noise from the street below did not reach inside our room. The hotel was a basic place to stay for a couple of nights and met our needs perfectly."

"Good one night stay, parking was really useful for us and also right on a bus route into Bologna old town. Would not fancy walking it. Breakfast was decent, nice little outdoor area. Overall comfortable and good value."

"Room was pretty clean other than light staining on the couch. AC could not be adjusted below 24C and there was no flatsheet - only a small duvet. I run very hot when I sleep so I didn't sleep great plus the smoke detector in the middle of the ceiling would flash pretty brightly throughout the night which also kept me up."
