We arrived in the dark after a long journey and Laura looked horrified at the 2 dogs as we had reserved a suite which was not dog friendly. She swiftly sorted it out and changed our room. I then enquired about our dinner reservation and she told me that the restaurant was closed as our reservation had not gone through . No bother to Laura, she just said we would have to have something very simple that she would produce.
Unbelievably good Iberian Ham, local cheese, quince jam, washed down with...

Lovely location, very quiet in a small village. Cute little separate chalets, which have basically everything you need. Very friendly people, also in the village bar/restaurant, 2 mins walk. If you’re a runner it’s fantastic as lots of light gravel trails from the property. I would definitely return if in the area.

We had half board abd the meal was fantastic. I had the selection of meats to start and my wife had a sort of tomato mousse. The olive oil was out of this world and my main course fillet was one of the best that I have ever had. We have been trying to find a reason to travel that way again and wish we had booked for 2 nights or more. It’s a lovely little town, with a beautiful square. A great place as a base to visit Caceres or Guadalupe. We will definitely return!

We were very impressed with the service and also the breakfast they provided, the hotel had a nice overall feel to it and we felt very comfortable. The only slight criticism was that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room

Enjoyed my 3-night stay. The room was basic, but clean (and recently painted), with a private bath, a good TV, and effective heat. The location is excellent just 1 block off the main plaza. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Would definitely return.

The young woman who met us was very kind when I discovered there was no plug in the sink or the bath,,, she soon provided me with two new plugs after liaising with the boss !
In the morning she prepared a breakfast for us in the downstairs bar area which was very kind too.
The hotel was only a short walk from the amazing square and old town where we ate a reasonably priced evening meal... the town is simply a smaller version of Caceres, which we also loved.
