Gorgeous decoration and interior design; right within the city and walkable to the beach. Food at the nearby restaurant Jasper was great and some of the best I've had in the DR.

Hotel Santa Clara was definitely the best choice to stay while in Monte Cristi. The hotel and the restaurant are so chic and very nicely decorated. Everything was pristine clean and the restaurant food was delicious. Definitely will stay there if we ever visit Monte Cristi!

The rooms they offer you are not the same as in the photos, super small rooms and bathrooms in poor condition, parking on the street (there is no security at night) and the worst thing is that they say that breakfast is included and when you arrive The property tells you no, Don't even think about going to have breakfast at the place that supports the hotel, The most expensive breakfast you will pay in the dominican republic, they charged us for 4 basic breakfasts (1 egg, a little mangu, a wheel of salami and 1 coffee) RD$2,400, I do not recommend the place, I would not return.

The hotel is only good for one night. When we got there the owner (I guess) he don't even knew that we have a reservation after I show him then he said OK. When I book the hotel it said free breakfast but that is not truths. They don't have nobody in the receptionist to ask any question. They don't even have any water or coffee in the little lobby. They have a small refrigerator in the room but is full of their stuff that you have to pay for them, so you can not buy anything at the store to put it in the refrigerator.

Las habitaciones en el edificio de delante están cómoda y bien decoradas, pero las habitaciones del edificio de atrás hay que renovarlas cómo las demás, hasta el calentador de agua es diferente. No pueden cobrar el mismo precio por esas habitaciones.
