The hotel needs more cleaning and the building needs to be updated. Also the bathroom needs a better bath tube and a flexible shower head/hose. Some bedroom blankets and covers have stains! Towels are very old. The good thing is that it is very well located.

Estadia agradável

O hotel é agradável e os funcionários cordiais e receptivos. Servem um bom café da manhã e a localização é excelente para quem deseja ficar próximo à praia. Há restaurantes, mercado, padaria e casas de câmbio nas proximidades, o que ajuda muito. Entretanto, o hotel é um pouco antigo e uma coisa ou outra pode não funcionar como esperado, o que pode não agradar gostos mais exigentes. No geral, recomendo a escolha do local para hospedagem e acredito ser um otimo custo-benefício.

nao recomendo para turistas.

O hotel tem sinais de ter sido um excelente hotel, entretanto nao oferecem nada de orientacao aos seus hospedes como panfletos de locais que entregam comida, planfletos de excursoes, café da manha sem muitas opcoes. Alguns funcionarios da recepcao sem boa vontade ou bom humor para atender o hospede.Para mim e minhas amigas foi decepcionante, apesar do hotel estar em boa localizacao- uma pena.

It's not a modern hotel but everything was pretty good. My room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, very spacious and the bathroom was also very clean. Breakfast was very well served with eggs, yogurt, cereals, breads, fruits and more. It's also in a very good location, 1km from the shopping mall, 1 block from Pocitos beach and a short walk to Pocitos main street.

The location is great. The room itself was great and clean with the exception of the window drapes which I had them remove as they were very dusty but the bed and rest of the room was very clean. The breakfast was also very good and the staff were both friendly and helpful.

Gostei muito da localização do hotel. Perfeita. O chuveiro também é muito bom.Porém duas coisas deixaram a desejar: o café da manhã que é muito fraco e caso ele não esteja incluso na diária não vale a pena tomá-lo.Aliás, tampouco compensa pagar mais pela diária por causa dele. E outra coisa que também não foi muito agradável foi o serviço da recepção. Não sei se demos azar, mas as poucas vezes que precisamos dela, o atendimento foi bem antipático. De qualquer maneira, de modo geral, a hospedagem vale a pena.

Nice hotel with a good hot water shower. Montevideo was cold at the time we were there but the heater worked well and we had a room with seaview. Wi-fi worked well in part of the room. Busstop right outside the door to old town but a bit of a walk to find a restaurant.

The Ermitage Hotel is a throwback to the 1960's, as evidenced by the furniture. The staff is courteous and helpful, Keep in mind that this seems to be a trait of all Uruguayans. The breakfast is nothing to talk about. They could use a water filter for their coffee making, because it tastes like water from the drain. There is really no restaurant at the hotel. Mind you, there is no need for one as there are at least a hundred great places to eat within walking distance. The single beds were clean and confortable and the room was typical of economic hotels in Uruguay. The bathroom was clean and it looked like it had been recently renovated. Hot water was plenty. TV was relatively new but they could use an additional electrical plug for charging mobile devices. All in all, was worth the price and the location was very convenient, as it is just a few feet from the Ramble and a 20 minute walk to Punta Carretas.

Cafe da manhã insatisfatório

Fui agora em janeiro 2019 pontos positivos: 1) Cama confortável 2) Próximo da Praia de Pocitos , 1 KM andando até a placa de Montevideo e perto do Farol. Se for no verão vale a pena se hospedar no Bairro pocitos , se for no inverno melhor é ficar no centro, pois concentra a maior parte das atrações turísticas. 3) Quarto silencioso Pontos negativos: 1) Wi fi não pega direito nos quartos longe do elevador, eu estava no Apt103 e quase nao conseguia conectar no quarto. Precisava de internet para acessar mapas, e roteiros e tinha que ir para a recepção. 2) Sou pouco exigente com café da manhã e quando li as críticas, não liguei, achei que não fosse me incomodar . Mas lá é realmente muito fraco em relação ao valor da diária. Fiquei 4 dias e todos os dias tinha exatamente a mesma coisa. Não tinha nenhuma fruta e bolos. Eu não voltaria , ficaria mais próximo ao shopping Montevideo pois tem mais movimento em volta ou no centro se fosse dia de semana.
