"Amazing stay! The view is incredible"

"Staff were friendly and mostly welcoming. Restaurant was under renovation but overall was great. Amenities like gas station, grocery store and gift shop were great and convenient. The tour through Monument valley was amazing well worth your time! Only draw back was that I forgot my sweat jacket on the sofa when checking out and called 2 hours later and yet no one could find it. "Older property. Lobby and grill has 70’s vibe and clean. Front property very old and dingy. I stayed in newer property in back and it was clean but had old smell. Nice view. Had to sign 2 contracts warning of theft and vandalism liability on my car. Had no trouble. Still it was heads up! Overall 6/10 on my scale. Food great! Staff very nice and helpful. Property not great but clean."

"Rooms were clean, linens were clean, although some of the towels were getting a little thin and needed replacing. The continental breakfast was a little sparce, standard fare, but on a Sunday morning when the Mormon town of Blanding almost completely shuts down, one is grateful for a cup of coffee and a little bite to eat (although there is a nice food station at the nearby Mavrick gas station). "Abajo Lodge was a surprising wonderful place. The rooms were spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the bedding luxurious. It looked as if there is a pool but we didn't need that. Breakfast would have been nice but I don't think there was a room that could accommodate that. Overall we were very pleasantly surprised and will book again if our travels take us through Monticello."
